ANKARA – Speaking about the peace process, Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmus said: “We will finalise the project, which we have turned into public support, as soon as possible. Weapons will be silenced; brotherhood and solidarity will prevail.”
Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmus made remarks at Adıyaman University’s 2025-2026 Academic Year Opening Ceremony. Describing Turkey’s second century as the “Century of Brotherhood,” Kurtulmus said: “Turkey’s coming century must be the century of science, culture, art and international strength, and it must necessarily be the century of brotherhood. God willing, we are working with all our heart, head and effort to make the second century of our Republic the century of brotherhood.”
WARNED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF PROVOCATION
Addressing the Peace and Democratic Society Process, Kurtulmus concluded: “As a state policy, through the National Solidarity, Brotherhood and Democracy Commission we will finalise the project we transformed into public support at the earliest opportunity. Weapons will be silenced; brotherhood and solidarity will prevail. I am aware that some jackals are waiting on the sidelines, rubbing their hands. Whatever they do, this time we will surely succeed. Let me put it further: either we will win or the imperialists will win. By God’s will, we will not yield to them. Dear brothers and sisters, this country will leave these days behind. The imperialists do not know how to live together.”
