Chris Den Hond, a Belgian journalist living in France, was deported from Istanbul where he travelled to follow Newroz. Hond, who landed at the airport in Istanbul yesterday, was taken to the police station by the police. It was reported that the police told Hond, "You are banned from travelling to Turkey because your name is on the blacklist" and deported him at the airport. 

 

Hond reacted to the decision with a video and stated that he was banned from entering Turkey and that this was the first time such a thing had happened to him, and that the police did not show him any official documents. 

 

Hond announced that he was banned from entering Turkey for 10 years.
