NEWS CENTER- Tens of thousands of workers participating in May Day rallies in Aegean cities gave the message that it is time to be united and resist against fascism, olgiarchy and labour exploitation.
Izmir May Day Organising Committee was celebrated with a rally in Konak Gündoğdu Square. Trade unions, political parties, ecological organisations and non-governmental organisations gathered in 3 columns: Cumhuriyet Square, Alsancak Port and Basmane Square and marched to Gündoğdu Square. Resistance against exploitation was emphasised at the rally.
MANISA
Manisa Labour Democracy and Peace Platform organised a rally at Cumhuriyet Square in Yunusemre district. Thousands of people gathered in front of Sultan Mosque and marched to the rally area.
In the speeches made in the area, attention was drawn to the workers' struggle for rights and the importance of the spirit of solidarity was emphasised. The celebrations continued with music concerts and folk dances.
AYDIN
In Aydın, thousands of workers, political parties and ecological organisations participated in the rally held opposite Efekant Bazaar in Efeler district. For the rally organised by Aydın Labour and Democracy Platform, the mass gathered at Malazgirt Square and marched to the area.
