NEWS CENTER - People of Makhmur protested the embargo and oppression imposed by Iraq on the camp with a march.

 

Citizens living in Makhmur Refugee Camp marched against the embargo and oppression imposed by Iraq. The march, which was organised with the slogan "Long Live Makhmur Resistance", continued until the checkpoint where Iraqi security forces were stationed.

 

According to Rojnews, a delegation on behalf of the people of the camp will meet with the officials of the security forces. A statement is expected to be made afterwards. The people are still waiting at the checkpoint.

 

WHAT HAPPENED?

 

The refugee ID cards of the citizens living in Makhmur Camp have not been renewed for two years. For this reason, citizens cannot travel freely and are stopped at checkpoints. This situation brings with it many obstacles. On the other hand, since 10 April, Iraqi security forces have not been allowed to enter the camp from the checkpoint where they are stationed.

 

Iraq's embargo and pressure on the camp is increasing day by day. Against this, the diplomatic institutions affiliated to the Makhmur People's Assembly have made many attempts, but these attempts have not yielded any results.
