AMED - In Pasûr (Kulp) district of Amed province, tree slaughter started by village guards and some villagers at the intersection of Eskar and Beyrok neighbourhoods on the slopes of Dorşîn Mountain continues.
Although the region, which is the most important forest area of the district, is closed to entrances and exits for security reasons, it is noteworthy that tree slaughter is condoned.
The silence against the felling under the name of forest rejuvenation draws the reaction of the residents of the region. "Why don't politicians and ecologists do anything about the felling in Eskar and Beyrok? Kulp Stream was destroyed, Hesendîn is being destroyed. Dorşîn, the most important oxygen depot for our district, is also being destroyed. Why is this being kept silent?" a citizen reacted.
